Tools and techniques
This program will use journal writing, collage, improvisation fun, periods of focused silence and reflection, contact with nature, plus plenty of free time to recharge your batteries and enjoy the attractions of the area.
Course leader
Mara Senese is an American who has lived in Oslo, Norway since 1983. She has 20 years experience in running programs in creativity and personal mastery for organizations and individuals, specializing in leadership and team development in Norway and Europe. Her background as an artist (painting, sculpture and creative writing), art therapist (gestalt, psychodrama, music, dance, painting) teacher and consultant, plus over 30 years of meditation experience and spiritual practice enhance her ability to inspire and engage others.
Schedule
The stay is one week with arrival and departure on Sunday. The program begins on Monday and ends on Saturday, with Friday a free day.
We will gather in the morning and part of the afternoon or evening allowing flexible time for rest, conversations and touring the area.
The process
We will work individually, in small groups or pairs and in the large group. There will be teaching moments and dialog, experiments and exercises using the techniques named above plus other things that suggest themselves according to the group’s level and need.
Language
As this is an international program the language is English. Mara speaks Norwegian fluently, understands most Italian and some French.
